Top Five Written By...MNEK.

Uzoechi Osisioma Emenike, or MNEK as he's known to the masses, has had one hell of a year and that doesn't look like it's about to slow down anytime soon. To celebrate the release of his latest Wrote A Song About You, we take a look at the hits he has helped create...and well warn you now, there are some bloody good ones.

5. The Saturdays - All Fired Up 

This is the first credit we see MNEK on, and did you know that it come about after he messaged pop writing legend Miranda Cooper from Xenomania? Apparently so! But when you realise this was released in 2011, and MNEK was around the age of 16...you do start to question yourself a bit.

4. Little Mix - Nothing Feels Like You

Not only is this a great example of the hits that MNEK can help create, but his production skills pretty much blow us away here too. Nothing Feels Like You is easily in the top three best songs from Little Mix's second album "Salute" but the little so and sos over at Syco didn't release it. We did get to experience it live on Little Mix's "Salute" tour, which was majestic enough to help with the non release pain.

3. Clean Bandit Featuring Nikki Cislyn and Javeon - Cologne

Is there a top UK act that MNEK hasn't had his mitts in? Nope. He co-wrote Cologne alongside other members of Clean Bandit, which features on their debut album New Eyes. Cologne presents the cream of MNEK's writing ability, but the only thing missing from the track is some guest vocals (but we do love Javeon!).

2. Oliver Heldens X Becky Hill - Gecko (Overdrive)

We don't know what kind of deal with the dance lords that MNEK and Becky Hill have, but when they got together one late this happened. We couldn't make this up, this dance hit was created after a late night session in the studio...even Becky Hill seems to be amazed by his talents, speaking to Hunger Mag she said: "“What happened when you were growing up? What medicine did your mum give you to make you that special? Because you are one of a kind bruv!” we agree!

1. MNEK - Wrote A Song About You

You know what they say right...leave the best to last? Well out of all of MNEK's efforts so far Wrote A Song About You does come out top. It's simple yet effective meta-rific lyrics has had us dancing all freaking summer long. It's a good job he didn't give this away, because we know this is the one that is going to cement him right in the pop world.
